Gratitude

Yesterday Michael and I woke bright and early, and with a group of friends (Momentum Sports Performance Centre) ventured to the top of Mount Warning in Northern NSW. It was super hot and quite a tough walk, but I felt such a strong sense of accomplishment when I reached the peak. Especially after the last 400m of sheer rock, with only a chain to pull yourself up!

Standing on the top of the Mountain and admiring the view reminded me of how beautiful of a place I live in. I have vowed to take more time out this year to stop and 'admire the view' and give thanks for all of the beautiful  people, animals and places that are a part of my life.

We made it!

We made it!

Late last year I decided to create a Gratitude Jar which I now have beside my bed with a little note pad and a  pen. Each night, I write down a little list of the things I am grateful for and pop them in my jar. It really forces me to stop and take stock of the day, and acknowledge that no matter what happens in your day, you can always find something to be grateful for. When I hop into bed, the last thoughts I have before bed are about the things I'm grateful for, and it's my favourite way to end the day!

How do you allow yourself to give gratitude? What works best for you? Share below!
