Tell us a little bit about who you are
Hello gorgeous souls. I'm Sharlene, creator of Live Love Eat Raw and part owner of Blendlove! You could say I'm a raw dessert enthusiast, actually that would be a slight understatement! I live and breathe it! I'm also a yoga teacher, blogger and specialist in food photography just to name a few haha. What can I say, I'm open to try anything that I love and am passionate about. Life's too short to continue to do things you don't love!
How did you get here? Was there a moment where everything changed?
Great question Kate! I simply changed all my thoughts to positive ones! I know you might be thinking that sounds a little crazy, but it works! Yoga helped me through this process. Once I began to fill my thoughts and energy with nothing but positivity I began this amazing journey of health and well being. Not to mention over the past year I have made so many beautiful connections with so many inspiring like minded souls like yourself.
What does a regular day looks like for you?
I must say nothing is regular about my day. That's the beauty of working for myself. I love change. One things for sure though I always start my day with a BIG green smoothie! The best!
What are your favourite ways to get active?
Yoga, yoga and more yoga! I'm not into running or high impact workouts that can stress my body. It's quite funny actually... I always tried to go for runs and convince myself that I liked it, but it just wasn't me. Nothing satisfies my mind, body and soul like yoga does. I also go for about a 30min walk everyday.
What are the three most important things that you do each day?
Hmmm three most important things I do would have to be nourish and move my body, have daily gratitude and SMILE!

Inspire woman around the world to accept and love themselves for who they are. I believe once you have self love you shine from within and illuminate your energy to others around you. That is when you want to eat better, become more active and be kind. Happiness is an inside job!

Anything is possible. You have to believe in yourself and just go for it! We all have the power to manifest the life we want to live.

My health. I never ever take it for granted. Without it I wouldn't be able to live my life to its fullest potential.

Every meal is my favourite meal! I love food!

Raw Vegan Choc Fig & Orange Cheesecake
Shar has been super generous in sharing this gorgeous recipe for us all to try! Can't wait to give this one a go.
2 cups almond meal
2 fresh figs
2tbs raw cacao powder
3tbs organic rice malt syrup
1tbs chia seeds
Pinch Himalayan salt
FIG ORANGE FILLING
2 cups raw cashews (soaked & rinsed for at least 2 hours)
1 cup desiccated coconut
1/2 cup organic rice malt syrup
1/4 cup organic cold pressed coconut oil
1/2 cup fresh orange juice
1/4 cup coconut water
1 medium orange rind (grated)
2tsp ground turmeric
4 fresh figs
Few drops of pure orange oil (this is completely optional, it still tastes amazing with or without it, but if you love it super zingy then I recommend it)
1/3 cup extra virgin cold pressed coconut oil (melted)
1/4 cup organic rice malt syrup
1/4 cup raw cacao powder
Few drops of pure orange oil (optional)
Pure freeze dried berries.
For the CRUST place all ingredients in a high speed food processor. Blend it up until you have a sticky biscuit dough.
In approximately 27cm round pop out tin or silicon mold, press your crust evenly over the base. Set aside while you make your FIG & ORANGE FILLING.
For your FIG & ORANGE FILLING place all your ingredients into a high speed food processor. Blend it up! This may take a few minutes. When you have a nice creamy consistency it's ready!
Now scoop your FIG & ORANGE FILLING over the top of your CRUST & spread evenly. Place into an airtight container & freeze overnight or for at least 8 hours.
For the CHOC TOPPING place all your ingredients into a large bowl & whisk it up! When all your CHOC TOPPING ingredients resembles a smooth runny choc consistency, you know it's now ready to drizzle lines evenly over the top of your FIG & ORANGE FILLING. This should set in about a minute or two.
Top with fresh figs, pistachios, pure freeze dried berries of your choice. I used pomegranate.
